Fuji XE1

So,  my quest for a lighter camera has begun.

The Nikon D700 and D800 and trinity of 2.8 lenses have caused me to have a long and rewarding relationship with my chiropractor.  That’s rewarding for them and not me.

Adding to the kit some battery grips an SB900 flash and thats a large lump of kilos to be lugging around.

I’ve been using a Fuji X100 for around a year.  I didn’t like it.  It was a grower and now I love how it slows me down.  I have been reading about the XPro1 and when I heard that the XE1 was fundamentally the same if not slightly better I jumped.

It came snuggled up to an 18-55 zoom which a 14mm prime has not created what I think will be the perfect threesome.

Slight panic when my pocket wizards failed to ignite the SB900’s.  Bit of relaxation when the Elinchrom triggers and studio heads worked like a dream.

I’m looking forward to the next few days of fun, experimentation and frolics with the new kit.
